On orbit, SOLSPEC instrument is working nominally.


The first measurement of the solar spectrum, has been done on 5 April 2008. Since, one solar spectrum is measured, every 3 days approximately.


In addition, internal calibrations have been performed regularly, by measuring the spectrum of internal deuterium lamps (UV spectrometer) or tungsten lamps (visible and IR spectrometers).

All these data processing, taking into account the black body calibration is in progress.


A preliminary result of the solar irradiance versus wavelength, in the UV range, is shown below:

On orbit Field Of View (FOV) measurements of the 3 spectrometers have been performed and are able to verify a very good agreement with the ground FOV measurements. See below SOLSPEC UV signal versus CPD angular deviation.
